Losing Focus

Sometimes people tend to forget the whole reason why they got involved in doing business for themselves. They tend to end up focusing more on the sale than how to get the sale. Often times, it's the relationship built with the customer that leads to the sale.
My whole reason for going into business for myself is to have the total freedom that I crave. But my other reason for building my own business is to help others. I know there are so many people online looking for information and I feel like my job is to provide what they need and be that resource for it.
I believe that as long as I can meet the need and satisfy their needs, the sale will come with it. No matter how long it takes, as long as I keep baking that cake, in the end I'm gonna have a beautiful dessert to enjoy.

It really is important to stay focused because it's very easy to only think about getting sales. It can be quite tedious to sell something to someone without establishing some sort of relationship first. Put in the work and the results will come. Love your cake analogy :)
