Why Wealthy Affiliate?
I began researching ways to make income online a few months ago, as I contemplated going back out into the workforce.
You see, I've been out of the workforce for 18 years, and have embarked on a career as a Domestic Engineer (wink, wink). It was, and still is, very important for me to stay home with my children and be there when they need me. Even though they are older now, I still want to be here when they get home from school, be available for them if they need me to pick them up from school when they're sick, and to be able to take them to their different activities throughout the week, (you get the idea), but I I also need to help out more in the financial department of our household. I don't really have the desire to have to work outside of my home. Making money online seems to be a good solution.
In my research, I came across a blog post from a Wealthy Affilite member, describing how a person could make an income online by writing about an interest, passion, or hobby. This interested me, because I had been writing blogs for my Avon business and found that I really enjoyed blogging, however, my Avon blog wasn't receiving the kind of traffic I needed, to make any kind of profit. Looking into WA more and learning about the tools, resources, training and support I would receive as a member, made me want to sign up.
But first, I wanted to make sure WA was legit. In my search for making money online, I had already encountered many scams and wasn't going to go in blind. To make a long story short, I was pleased with what I read online about WA, and decided to start out as a free member. Upon signing up, I received the welcome message from Kyle and decided to respond, not expecting a personal response back, but to my surprise, Kyle did! That's when I knew I'd stumbled upon something special.
In the first 7 day free Premium trial, I began learning from the jump. Even though I had some experience blogging, my understanding was remedial, at best. After completing the Getting Started Course, my site was set up and I had written my first post and was very pleased at my accomplishments. I can really see the potential of this program, so I went ahead and took advantage of the discounted Premium Membership fee for the first month.
I'm now almost finished with Course 2 and have written 5 posts on my blog thus far and learned so much, and am ready to learn how to make some money. It's been a wonderful experience, with all of the training videos and member blog posts that are available, and being able to ask questions and get immediate answers, is a true asset! I hope to start seeing earnings soon that I would be able to continue paying for my Premium membership. That is how much I appreciate being involved in this community and how much I believe in this affiliation.
