Relax and you will get there, that's affiliate marketing.
Today, I have a message for the newbies. When I first start doing affiliate marketing, I made the same mistake that most people made. I tried to do everything quickly and I want my website to be successful TODAY. I want it so bad that I spend hours and hours in front of my computer.
That is not affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is suppose to be fun, profitable, relax and passive.
It is because your website takes time to get to the number 1 position, Google will take its time to index your site. It could be a week or it could be a month or two months. So no matter how much content you have, it is not going to get there overnight.
You burn yourself out when you work too hard. Your brain works better when you relax. You produce better content when you are having fun.
If you work too hard and it is not passive income, you found another job for yourself. You might have your day job already. How long do you think you can keep it up this way? Affiliate marketing is a passive income, it is like growing a tree, it takes time to grow. Therefore, don't work on it every day and night. We often tell the beginners, "it is not a race."
You don't have to be there for your website, once it is up and running business will keep coming in. Like all other businesses, sometimes you make more and sometimes less, that is for sure. So don't worry be happy.
My advice is "do affiliate marketing like affiliate marketing." If you know what I mean.

Patience is a virtue.
That is definitely something a lot of people forget in this day and age. It takes time to build up a thriving online business and if you are not willing to have patience, it'll be that much harder for you to be successful if at all.
I started earning income for the first time on my website nearly 2 years after joining WA. I'm now starting to earn a little bit more than last year. Still have a long ways to go before it's livable income, but things are happening because of patience and a willingness to take action even though it's not always consistent as having consistency will help you out a lot.
Reminds me of a really famous quote, "Patience Daniel Son!". That is very true and a lesson we can all learn when it comes to building a successful business online.

Thank you for this advice, MisterWailor. I must admit I do get a bit anxious. I want so badly to succeed. I promised my husband that I would take him to the Holy Land - his lifelong dream. So I can't fail! I do enjoy what I am doing but that knot in my stomach seems to have made a home.
Try not to put too much stress on yourself. It takes time to build your business and Rome wasn't built in a day.
