when i am looking at/for keywords the quotes make a big difference -is that how we should enter them for search engines

You do not need to enter meta keywords, or any other meta data. The only time you should be messing with this would be when you are setting up the plugin (ie for your main website info). On a page by page basis, we don't do this.
If you ARE talking about your main website info in the All in One SEO pack, then you do not need to use quotes.

been trying to change my profile image -no problem to upload -how do I get rid of the picture of me and the cat and use the one I created
This is really easy. First load the picture want to stay, and select it as your profile image and save it. Select the image you want to get rid of, look below and click the little box that says delete. The there will be a pop-up which will ask you if this what you really want to do. Affirm your choice. Presto. it it will be gone.
thanks folks -had to settle on the crow -actually have one i did in svg then printscreened to jpg but I guess it's too small -loads but then can't find -oh well -will enlarge later

trying to add my domain -dns taken care of -not getting past wa popup window asking if i own domain -i do -help
Check your DNS - follow this training to see how to check it https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-check-your-dns
If your DNS are pointed to WA's servers, then you don't have to worry about that, and you can move on to check other issues.
You can also ask Kyle to check if it has propagated yet, he did for me. He's in chat right now.
Did you build the site here on WA? If it asks if you own the domain, then click YES. You should be on this screen here http://d.pr/i/yVBW . When you have filled in the info, click "I'm ready to build my website now".

it isn't allowing me to click yes -i think kws123 is right -had done dns days ago -but fiddled with it today -should have left well enough alone
Depending on where you bought your domain it can take up to a couple of days to complete- name cheap is pretty fast...within minutes sometimes.

If all else fails submit support ticket, they're usually quick to resolve problems.

Try going into your dashboard to see if it is showing comments. You might be able to retrieve it there.

when i update my dns adresses do i also need to change the A(host) record?
From what I remember, when you change the DNS to WA (assuming that's your plan) then once you have set them up, you don't need to do anymore. changing the DNS auto-means the host is changed too :)
