What are your Vision, Mission, Values?

I'm finishing up my MBA (Masters of Business Administration) and currently taking a Project Management course. For my assignment I am doing a project on what area of business to go into. This includes what my niche is, what kind of website I need, what products and services etc I will offer or promote.

It's been a very interesting exercise. I've started off by deciding, or uncovering what my personal vision, mission and values are. It's a tough exercise but certainly a worthwhile one. And it's one I started many years ago so I've had practice in thinking and writing these in the past.

Doing this allows me to make sure I pick the niche and business model which really aligns with who I am. It will save me a ridiculous amount of time in the long run. For choosing the 'wrong' path could be disastrous.

I suppose the best word I can use to describe the benefits of doing this is CLARITY.

Have you set yours?

What are your dreams? If I asked you what your vision, mission and values are, could you rattle them off with confidence? The clearer your dream is the easier it is to take action in the right direction.

It's easier because you know what to say NO to. The world of possibilities we live in can be either liberating or suffocating. Which are you experiencing?

My Vision, Mission, Values

I thought I would share what mine are which may help you to write yours. I'd also appreciate any feedback you might have on them.

Vision Lead an intentional life of overwhelming abundance in the service of others.

Mission Personally to offer my support and unconditional love to family, friends and loved ones. To simply be there for them.

Professionally to help people to change their beliefs, perceptions and habits about eating, exercising and lifestyle factors to give them an abundance of energy.

Spiritually to understand before I can offer my support and unconditional love to others I must first off it to myself. To feel a sense of oneness and connectedness to everyone and everything around me.

Values Health, happiness, growth, connection, truth

I know my mission statment is pretty damn long. But I've found over the years of doing them that I usually stray towards a professional mission statement. I.e. one that is related to my work. But LIFE IS MORE THAN WORK!

So I've incorporated a balanced approach which includes my personal, professional and spiritual components of my life. It works for me. And believe it or not I can recite it from memory.

Would love to hear from you and what yours are.

Hi, Miles really like the concept of VMV, such a positive way to get things moving forward thank you for sharing your insights.

Thanks Evan. Yes I think it's all about self awareness in the end. The VMV that organisations often use to define who they are is a good place to start.
