Ive named my website "extreme potential" with the intention of promoting alot of different products to realise just that eg. health & beauty, suppliments, financial aids. Af

Honestly Michael, I think that your niche that you have chosen is far too broad. I recommend that you narrow this down slightly and to do this I would recommend trying out the Alphabet Soup Technique.

Here is a short training video on this: I use this not just for keywords, but also to narrow down my niches into something more specific. Remember also, there are TWO BILLION people on the Internet. Even some of the seemingly smallest niches out there have huge audiences that are searching for help with them and buying products within them.

Also, I recently blogged about what is too broad of a niche and how to define what is a suitable niche (with some real examples). I absolutely recommend that you check this out as it is going to definitely help you here Michael. If you want to run any of your "narrowed down" niches by me, please do let me know and I will be more than happy to give you a hand Michael. :)

Kyle, I know you hear this all the time, but this is what makes wealthy affiliate head and shoulders above the rest. The personal attention that every member receives is just outstanding,!

https://www.affiliateresources.org/how-to/how-to-choose-a-domain-name-for-an-affiliate-website, if you read the article Matt Cutts of Google says it just doesn't matter, if you like the name keep it and if you don't change it. The domain name is not going to drive traffic to your website and the articles you write with the right keywords that drive traffic. Example one more cup of coffee, Nathaniel's website, the domain name is irrelevant, but the site gets tons of traffic. Why Nathaniel writes like a madman. It comes down to content. The more content you have, the more traffic you have.

Thanx so much stevemiller, I have heard that said before but i guess when your dealing with your own creation your'e a little more sensitive. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond, its been really helpful. Best of luck with your own business, I wish you every success.

Certainly I would change it if you're not already getting traffic. Also if it is the site Rubik site at some point you are going to want to buy your own domain because that is real estate and you will change them

Thanks for your reply katkatskitchen, its so good to get feed back from fellow WA's. I'm just trying to navigate my way here as efficiently as poss, as we all are i guess. I really appreciate your input. Good luck on your own journey. I hope i can be of asistance at some point.

I would, The more traffic there is the more chances you have to selling products.

The website name is not that important, the KW's your are targeting are. Amazon, eBay, odesk, e-lance before they were famous were not a name you could associate a niche with. If you have already got traffic coming to the site I would not change. If its still only a few posts then you could change without causing a problem.

Cheers tommo1968, your absolutely right and I'm stoked you replied, thanks heaps. It was the first real speed bump I hit(I know there's going to be a few). Its just I like the name but was growing more concerned about attracting the right customers. Its early days for me obviously, loving it tho! I realy appreciate you taking the time to help me out, hope I can do the same for you sometime. The best of luck!
