A Few Halloween Safety Tips
Becuse my true passion is protecting women and children, I hope you don't mind if I post a few safety tips here. I'm sure most parents will recognize some of them.
Make sure your children go trick or treating in groups and stay together. Get them reflective costumes if possible. Have them carry flashlights and, very important, buy them a police whistle or other noise maker in case of trouble. And the most obvious, have them take a cell phone with them.
Teens, when you go to a private party go with others or ask your parents for a ride. If you go with friends, stay with them and leave with them. Take every precaution for your own personal safety. Don't give a predator the opportunity to get you alone.
I wish everyone a safe and Happy Halloween.
Mike

Great Advice. It's very easy to have your kids glowing and obvious to see if you use those reflective glow sticks in their candy bags or have them wear glow bracelets and necklaces.....
And if you want the BEST halloween costume idea for your toddler (IMHO) ....see the first costume in my blog:
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/findingemo/blog/happy-halloween (I'm stealing this idea for my pre-schooler next year).
Thanks for sharing these tips Mike.
Patty :)

Great advice Mike! Better safe than sorry, is what I've always been taught and try to teach to my kids. Even on regular days it's better to stay in groups, stay alert, and not go off alone. You just never know even in a small community like mine...not to mention we do have the occasional wolf, coyote, and even bear that have gone right through our streets before. These weren't wearing costumes either! :) Thanks for sharing!
And great advice added by you also. Thank you.
