More than I can chew?

Hi everyone. I have had my site up and running for about a month now, and I realize that I am creating a monster. My idea was to have a place where I could offer parenting advice, review products that parents use, and tell some funny stories and provide commentary along the way. Think Scary Mommy, but from a Father's point of view.

Essentially, I have realized that the potential to make affiliate $'s is pretty far-fetched at this point due to lack of a targeted niche. I may have to rely more on advertising (google adsense...etc.) once I get some followers, which I already have about 20 (facebook friends). However, I use some vulgar language in some of my stories, so I have been denied by adsense and some other ad networks.

I'm definitely not giving up on this site, as I am having a great time writing (which is what I love to do), but I am also thinking of starting a niche site so that I can actually make some $.

I would love to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience, and if anyone knows of ad networks that won't ban me for saying a few dirty words.

Overall, I am loving WA, and I have learned more than I ever thought I would in a short amount of time. Thanks everyone, and WA!

(Oh, and if you would like to know my site, just ask - It's not for everyone, but I know there is a large audience out there somewhere that will appreciate it.)
