To Pay for Traffic or To Generate Your Own? …That is Question Today!

You have 2 ways to get traffic to your Website: You generate it yourself or You pay good money to have somebody generate it for you! Top Marketers do both at one time or another!
But, good coaching mandates that New Marketers be cautioned to use Paid Traffic wisely ...when the business generates sufficient income to pay for it! And, to know those you pay to do it for you!
Now, generating traffic is simply attracting visitors to your Website. In searching for information on the subject for this Post and later Posting to my Website, I learned that smart marketers actually attract visitors to0 their Site by partly generating it themselves and partly by paying others (advertising) to do it for them.The following image represents the many channels used to attract Paid Traffic to your Website, in NO particular order of preference:

Except when money is no object, the best way to learn the business for New Marketers is to learn it personally by writing your Blog and building your 2 Free Websites, to practice by following good advice, Community support and to generate your own traffic.

If you must know, I've been on the Internet since 2010. I've only bee subscribed to Wealthy Affiliate since October 2013. Using only what I have learned at Wealthy Affiliate since then, I now have 8 Posts on Page 1 of Google and 6 on Page 2. One of the entries is my Profile. When I saw that, all I could say was: W.O.W.!
That tells me that anyone can and will succeed beyond expectations ...with appropriate tools, training, coaching and a little mentoring now and then!

Great article :) My question is is email marketing simply a means to generate traffic through distribution/promotion of one's blogsite/website by sending out emails to visitors?
Email marketing takes several forms. one is a regular newsletter detailing news etc, Interested parties sign up for the newsletter and continue to follow you. Each month you broadcast to your subscribers. This was at one time popular but less so now,
Training programs can be like this with a new training sent every day, week month etc in the form of an email.
Another is to put enquiries into an Autoresponder, This then sends out pre-scripted emails targeting a buying solution. There is a formula for the emails in the training.
This is just a couple of variables as the subject is very long and complicated but still effective.

Hi Regina, email marketing - has three main roles; 1.generate traffic to website. 2. convert traffic (visitors,) into customers. 3. retain and upsell to those existing customers.
It is a vital tool in internet marketing since without traffic you have no conversions or sales. They are your customer base.
You can help your customers if you know who they are.
