Where I've been.Where I am
I started here several months ago but my training has been going in slow motion because I'm just so busy with my regular work and also terribly busy around the house when I get home too. Doing a bit of remodeling and even that I'm only able to give it maybe a couple hours a day after I get home and then usually all day on Saturdays and Sundays. Phew. And then when I really feel I should be at the computer working on my lessons here at W/A I just can't get my mind wrapped around it. So, I feel like I'm terribly behind where I should be. I feel I'm going at a snail's pace and that bothers me. I need to make some good money merely so that I can actually retire. I'm having to continue working even though I'm past retirement age. I'm 73 and still doing maintenance on rental properties and they keep me hopping. Without extra income I fear I will just wind up working myself right into the grave.
Well, I'm at the end of level 2 in the training, hence this little blog. Sorry it seems to be so negative. Maybe I needed this to unload my noggin. What happens is that it tends to be too long in between times that I can spend some good long quality time with this training that I find that I forgot too many things even though I've taken notes along the way. I hate having to drop back and read over a previous lesson again in order to do a task in a present lesson. It just makes it even harder to catch up. Seems I'm in a viscious circle and I'm getting dizzy from it.
Oh, I don't plan to quit or anything like that. I'm just blowing off a belly full of steam and I hope that this blog allows even for such things as that. I'll bet everyone here writes nothing but positive things in their first blog post. Maybe I'll be the first on a negative note. No, I'm not depressed. I really just wish I could spend more time doing my lessons here.
Thanks for listening doc. haha. Believe it. I am a happy sort of guy in spite of this post. When I sat down to write it in this lesson it's the only thing that came out of my fingers. So be it. I'm fine. YES, there IS a Santa Clause.

Hi Mike, since I’ve been here I’ve met many different people with similar circumstances that were able to get ahead with training and the encouragement of the community. I’m thankful you wrote your blog because many people feel the way you do no matter their age or employment situation. I thought I’d let you know you’re not alone! I relate to a lot of what you said... I left WA a few years ago. I had to get through a job for "retirement" to be a little better. Finished the job and am back... and none too soon!
Now, I am trying to eke out a little more training time on WA EVERY day... because it's a MUST!
You CAN do this Mike... You will find a way!
