Company Facebook Page Needs Your Professional Insight
The company I work for has a face book and I feel it is missing a lot. Do me a favor, take a look and tell me whats missing...besides engaging content, interaction and traffic ...http://goo.gl/tvOO4 .
I helped start this page but corporate has taken over and adds all the content.. I contacted them and told them I feel it is missing interaction, engaging content and the most important thing TRAFFIC. How are we supposed to grow if we are not engaging with our potential customers?
Good Content & Engagement = TRAFFIC
I feel the content is somewhat relevant but is it something that sparks your interest enough to comment on it or even come back for more ? Heck, I am in the car business and a car nut and this page bores the hell out of me. What do other car buffs think about it?
What content would spark your interest and get you coming back for more? Hmmm...relevant stuff about the product line that really isn't published would be something I would like to see. What's happening around the dealership, any local promotions that would prompt someone to comment on it ? Comparing our line of cars to our competitors to start engagement?
Feedback Please!!!
Guys and Gals, I am just looking for feedback from WA members because I value your opinions. I have an idea as to what I would do but my hands are tied and I don't feel that I have the energy at this time to commit to this yet. Please take a look and let me know your thoughts.
Thanks Guys!

Also, you are definitely on the right track about local promotions. If I lived around that area I would love to see what the local dealership is doing. Also, if you guys are doing charity work and giving back to the community that is HUGE also.
Oh my I could go on for hours with ideas...Can you tell I love Facebook marketing? lol
Hey there! The first thing I noticed off the bat is the amount of fans the page has. Your statuses are only being seen by 6-8% of your fans so that means only about 3-5 fans are actually seeing the post. If you could get those 3-5 fans to be engaged then your percentage of fans who see your post will go up but not by much.
The first key to engagement is to build up your audience and with the brand Acura that should not be very hard at all. If they were to set up a Facebook Ads Campaign and target their audience it would not be very hard to engage those users.
The other thing that is so important is to not make your fans think to much.
For example the last post gives a tip: Clean and protect your wheels. I would love to know what is the best product to do this with. Not sure if they are allowed to share products but that would be great if they could. Then give a link to the products they recommend.
Or better yet ask the fans what is their favorite product to clean their wheels with?
Or heres another idea. Once you build up the fan base ask the fans to send in their pictures of them with their Acura's and make it the weekly coverphoto. You will definitely get some great engagements, pictures of fans with their Acura's and they'll be sharing your cover photo when they make it as the photo of the week. I do this with a business page and the response is overwhelming.
Another idea is to share the corporates Acura content as well. Or take some VR Tours of the cars and share that.
These are just some ideas. Once they have a good fan base you can really dive into the insights and see what the fans are really into.
Hope that helps some what. :)
This is awesome information Audrey. I don't know why their marketing department can't come up with information like you just shared with me. After all, they are supposed to be the experts.
I am going to take your advice and and see what I can do with it. We have had so much upper management turnover as well as changes in the corporate marketing structure I feel like I am starting over every 3 to 6 months.
I will keep you updated on the progress and pick your brain at times if you don't mind :)
I need to get this store running like a well oiled machine again so I don't have to worry about it everyday and begin to focus on my IM business.
Thanks again Audrey.
Bug? What bug Shawn? We sell Acuras, not VW's. lol
I totally agree with you though, thanks.
I'm no expert and I only recently started using fan pages. But, I think it looks pretty good, Im not sure how to get the best interaction from a fan page. It looks like the page is fairly new so maybe just a little more time.
Thanks for the reply Christopher. This is 6 months old. It was new as of April 1st (no fooling ;)
I suggested that we take a picture of each new car owner and post it on FB, tag it ( with the customers permission of course ) with their name. Who wouldn't want all their friends and family to see them with their brand new vehicle? Priceless, right?
