Documenting my Progress with WA on the Black Radicals Project

Hi, I'm Komodo Nelson. I've been with Wealthy Affiliate for a while, but those that know me know that I do different projects within and without. I primarily do local marketing sites and management. I also have content-driven projects not focused on affiliate marketing.

I picked up a new project titled black radicals. This affiliate project is not so heavily affiliate driven but more consumer-focused as I am creating content based on black people around the world who have done or are doing radical things. They may have been a social activist, political activist, or extremely successful in their craft.

I'm more on the Technical Side

We showcase them because we believe they deserve recognition. I and the two radicals working with me on this site had the idea to make sure these radical’s message didn't get lost in history and in time. I'm working on the more technical side, while they work on the content.

I decided to follow the certification class to ensure the site is set up the properly for consumers and for affiliate possibilities. So far it is doing well. There aren't any affiliate links as of yet. Adding affiliate links hasn't been instructed.

This has been one of my more rewarding projects as the research and the writing has allowed me to learn about different people who I may have had surface information about. I learn a great deal, but I also learn so much in the black radicals I have never heard of.

Using Curated Videos to Give More Splash

To write a piece on them edifies me greatly. We use videos in a curated fashion, meaning we go find a video on YouTube that can accompany what we're writing about to give more of a visual and artistic view of the black radical, to the viewer.

I know this is not exactly the best affiliate possibilities, but we are focused on awareness and immortalizing the work of these radical individuals.

We do know that individuals of different races have radical contributions to the world, however, we feel like mainstream media doesn't give black radicals the same sort of limelight that would inspire a younger generation such as the up-and-coming millennials.

That is the reason for this site and our goal is to get our traffic up to 500 to 1000 organic and social unique visitors by the end of February 2018 and continue to grow it from there. We also would like to begin to formulate our own videos and not rely on the curated videos from YouTube publishers.
