On the Fence?

Yesterday, I made the very important decision to upgrade to Premium. For those of you on the fence about upgrading or wonder WHY there has to be costs associated with trying to make some money online, here are my thoughts.

WA did a great thing by letting people in the door for free and test drive their program. This allows the more discriminate and scam wary to be able to look around and make sure that the site is kosher and if it is something that they would really want to pursue as a way to make money. They give you A LOT of information for free, more than just a few bits and pieces, and for the first week, they also allow you to experience a few of the perks of premium, like asking questions. This way, you can ask just about anything to get a vibe of the community and to also be able to get as much information as you want. I personally spent almost a whole week "trolling" the site, reading many blogs and training articles and asking people questions.

Upgrading within the first week gives you the opportunity to go premium for a full month for a dirt cheap price. Think about it, how many things do you regularly buy that cost about $20? Or something like premium coffee that you spend more than $20 a month on? Even regularly getting a drink out of the office soda machine probably cost you more than $20 a month. This is fantastic for people who don't have a ton of money to invest in at once but want to really try WA and get ALL they have to offer. This also gives people the opportunity over the course of the month (if they are poor but smart) to try and save enough money to be able to afford the regular monthly price, should they wish to continue.

Sure, you COULD stay free forever and do you best with what they give you for free, but here is a little secret to WHY it is better to upgrade, even if it is just for the first month. People tend to take something more seriously and make more of an efffort to do something if they have something (like money) invested in it.

For example, a college I went to sold discount tickets to students for their theatre performaces, but would not give them away for free. The reason? The students were more likely to attend if they had bought tickets than if they were given out for free. If the students got free tickets, it was easier for them to blow off the play for a party that someone invited them to at the last minute than if they had bought the tickets and didn't want to have their money (and most college kids have precious little) go to waste. When a student buys a theatre ticket, they are more invested into going to the performance. The same goes for any kind of training for building an online business.

I would reccommend to at least pay the $19 to try it out for the first month. That way you will be more motivated to put in more time and effort into the coursework to get your own interent business up and running. If you decide it isn't for you, simply cancel your membership and you will only be out $19. If you decide to stay, it will be easier to put the $47 in your budget because it is something that has become important to you.
