Theme Dilemma

I have such a dilemma over what theme to pick for my first website. I don't want the blog / one sidebar layout but something a bit more magazine style. I would love see what other people have done. Any advice or even a link to your site might help me visualise what is possible

That is a good question. I tried about fourteen themes before I was satisfied with the look lol. I can give you some tips that helped me. When you're logged into your site dashboard in WordPress, go to appearance, then themes, then add new. Now there is an option called filters there on the right. In the layout column, there are many options. For what you are looking for I would suggest ticking the responsive and fluid boxes. In the features column definitely the theme options box, the others in features, just take a look and decide. As far as themes go, I suggest the Colormag, Dyad, MH Magazine, MH magazine lite, Dynamic News Lite and Supermag themes. I personally used a different theme but you're always welcome.
