The Importance of Goals
I do not often write blogs and this is my first here. But there is one way in which writing is a useful tool. And that is to write down your goals. This is as much a memo for me as for members of this community.
How many of you have written down your goals and do you refer to them each day? When you write down goals and start moving towards them with purpose you generate a positive energy. Keeping this positive energy is a matter of always being on course.
It is not always easy. And why? Frustrations and complications, opinions, the daily incidents of modern life may derail you from your confidence. But each day and night you need to be reminding yourself of your clear goals.
In short, your goals are where you want to be by a certain time period. Next, you need to see those goals as actual and achievable. You need to see your progress as a step by step journey.
Of course, how many journeys have met hurdles? How many journeys have actually ended in apparent failure? But you need to welcome these tests as learning opportunities. Moreover, never let others tell you to give up, you’re too old, you’re not skilled. Everywhere, if you look there is abundant possibility. Do not say the word failure. Thomas Edison said “I have not failed. I’ve tried 10,000 ways that did not work.”
Write down your goals and expected dates of realization so that you can know what your work purpose is right now. Keep seeing your goals statement and put all your resources to it with faith. Listen to and welcome constructive criticism. It is helping you where superficial praise is not. As for detrimental people pity them as they are bitter and do not possess your creativity.
After you reached your goals please come back and tell me.
