Its been 3 month and now?
Hello WA community!
I have now been a member here for about 3 month.
Its an exiting journey so far, since the Internet / affiliate marketing and /or making money online was something I never thought of 6 month ago!
So far I have earned about $10, so that is not that much, but any of my businesses in the past took much longer to create income! Many are probably wondering to when they will make serious or enough money to quit their JOB and have more time for their families. Well, this is a tricky one to answer. If I may...
So here it goes.
It depends on how much time you spent on your SITE, and how much time you spent on WA ! Since we all created websites with content,that will earn us eventually money. BUT, we also have to LEARN before we earn, and this we can by spending time on WA, reading, learning from our own mistakes, posting them and reading about mistakes others made and learn from them!
So does it takes MONTH or YEARS to earn enough to leave the JOB ?
I truly don't know,( I never had a JOB in my life) but I would think that after 6-12 month, the monthly income should be anywhere between $50-500. Fifty does not sound like much, but at least you SEE that its working. If its more the $50 a month, great!
HOW LONG did you have to study and learn to EARN? 10 / 15 / 20 years or more? My friends live in partner and mother to their child finished her education at the age of 38. And that's when they both decided to become parents. Only then she started to earn money, so that took quiet some time!
So the journey here to become and have success is for each of us a different journey, with one exception: Pretty much every body who went premium wants to earn money with their site and affiliate marketing sometime.
Let me KNOW what you think,,,and If I am right or wrong...since I am not a wizard. Even that I wish I would be at times and know what google is really up to!
I wish EVERY BODY out there, especially our WA members( Kyle,Carson, Jay & Tony to name a few...) who are engaged in blogs and training's all the time to TEACH us the newbies all those things, so we can be as successful as them! Thank you!!!

Been here two years and its been somewhat discouraging because I begin to question my sanity. Why have I written 290 blog posts? Why have I gone over the lessons 30 times? I came to the conclusion its because I'm a risk taker. I like a challenge. I once rolled a car off a 70 foot cliff. I surfed waves double over my head. I have drank more beer in one sitting that most would ever do in their right minds. I went through Marine Corps boot camp when I was 17. Do I need to do this to myself? No. I have a decent retirement which is more than enough to survive on. My wife has an awesome job. I don't depend on this endeavor for money. I just do it to see if I can. I'm a risk taker. Unlike most who quit when the going gets tough, I'm like an old cochroach that sticks around scrounging for the last crumbs when others have moved on to the next (shiny object). I am for all intents and purposes absolutely insane. I have one life to live and I want to go out like old blue eyes and do it my way.....

And like you I did some really crazy stuff in my life!
Now I have a family and its time to slow down!
But not really...LOL

Congrats, buddy! It's a great milestone to achieve. I completed three months a week back, and all I have earned till date is $1 for a Free Member referral's profile set-up and $2.01 from AdSense. But I'm not worried because my main aim at the moment is to earn all the nitty-grities of online business and website building. I can afford to be somewhat unperturbed because I have my own job to fall back on for my bills and other expenses. I do dream of working from home someday after quitting my job but that I think will not happen anytime soon. One aspect of website building I'm focusing on right now is to write engaging content. There's a difference between writing one's own personal blog and writing a business blog. It's really challenging to put up a convincing post for business for engaging the audience. It's a skill (and a gift too) but I'm determined to learn that.

Oh well, I set my goal to 1 year. I want to earn $500-1000 a month in a year! I have all the time in the world...
Don't have a Job, but hey, its just so much FUN here, except today. I tried to get ma MAILCHIMP going...and so far, I am now where...NO clue about that...BUT I will figure it out, like all the other stuff!

You try to be thorough with that e-mail marketing thing so that I could ask you for advice. I haven't ventured into that and haven't decided whether to go for Aweber or for Mailchimp. The indecision is mainly because I don't know how e-mail marketing works. You know, I could learn from you. I didn't find its training in Certification and I haven't seen it in Bootcamp either (till now). This is one area I know is vital to business.

And I am on it !!! I will have it figured out in a couple of days..well lets say within a week, since it is Christmas soon!!!

I'm about 2 months in and like you, I don't expect to make enough to consider quitting my full-time job, but I am seeing results in terms of income thus far.
Definitely nothing to brag about, but it's progress. Whether it is your first dollar or your first $100.00.
Personally, it's money I wouldn't have made otherwise. 2018 is a fresh start for all of us. Instead of my usual New Years resolution for quitting cigarettes. I decided to make it a goal to earn my first $100 by the end of January.
PS. I quit cigarettes last year (:
I feel like we should always set a short term goal and actually track it. If it's money, it doesn't matter how much because we're all different.
The reason why I say short term goal and tracking is because often times we create goals that are simply not realistic and when you don't track it, you will just end up waiting and waiting until you reach it.
Let us all utilize the platform provided by Wealthy Affiliate! The community, the website, the tools, and the training is the soil for you to grow your crops.
That's about 50% needed to succeed! The rest is totally up to you. Every content you create is a seed that you plant in the soil.
Wouldn't it be great if we could harvest right away? Unfortunately, that's not how it works, so all we can do is wait.
Keep in mind, some of those seeds might not make it, but the more you plant, the better the results when it's time to harvest.

Congratulations on your 3 months. There is no magic formula as to how long it should take before you start to earn money and be able to quit your job. There are too many variables to be able to predict the outcome.
The only one truth is that if you don't quit, then you will earn money and be able to leave that job.

Did you have a family gathering? I had my debut as the Angel Gabriel in traditional play that the church I attend puts on every year. Glad they didn't tether me to a wire and make me "fly"! It went well, and my solo did, too. Glad it's over, though. Now I can relax until rehearsals for our spring concert start in about 6 weeks. Carol
Na, no family gathering...I am a child of parents who escaped the 1968 Russian communist Invasion into our country...and ...oh boy its a long story, but my parents passed away and my family is scattered all over the globe! So it was just me, my wife, her son, and my daughter...nice and quite.
