Dear Wealthy Affiliate friends,
I just wanted to share with all of you, but especially with newcomers, the joy of doing graphics by yourself. I was listening to Jay's Live case study 2017 (Building a niche website) part 3 (look under Live Video Classes) where he mentioned easy and free methods of making graphics by using Canva on www.canva.com.
I was just looking for a way to get some classy logos and banners for my website and Facebook cover. I was considering getting someone from www.fiverr.com to do it for me for 5-10$, but the thought of doing it all by myself was far more appealing. I mean, come on, didn't I just build a whole website from scratch about a niche I knew nothing about two months ago thanks to Affiliate bootcamp? What is a stupid logo in comparison to that?!
So I eagerly went to try this Canva out. Canva is simple graphic design software which offers you plenty of features for free or very low price. You can do logos, flyers, social media covers & posts, banners, presentations, posters and many more. These graphics have predetermined size in pixels, inches or centimetres. But there is an option to choose your own dimensions as well.
While making your graphic you can choose from many different layouts, elements (free photos, grids, frames, shapes, lines, illustrations, icons, charts) and backgrounds. You can upload your own pictures.
Once you are finished with your graphic, you can share it on social networks and off course download it. It is in png format.

This is what I have been doing last two days along with facebook cover and site icon:

It took me two days to figure things out, make several ugly graphics before I came up with this one.
Even though there are many free backgrounds and great photos for just one 1$, I uploaded free picture from www.pixabay.com for my background.
This blog post is by no means an advertisement for me as a graphic designer. I don't have time for this and I am not a professional. I just started using it two days ago. This is just to give you an idea of how easy it is to do it yourself and what are Canva's possibilities in case you have never done this before.
I hope this was helpful. Feel free to comment, especially if you know some other useful sites.
Thanks Jay from Magistudios!
Kind regards,
Mia
