Working hard and trying new things - videos!

Hi folks, it's been such a long time since I've blogged here. I check in often but typically just work very hard on my business and in my job.

I have left my main site idle for almost a year now - something I never thought I'd do! One day I will revive it. I've been working hard to support our family business, a technology platform, and have been implementing many of the lessons I've learnt here.

I started a YouTube channel, and much to my surprise I really enjoy making videos! The videos are instructional style videos so I don't show my face, however I record my screen and do voiceover. I use Screencast-o-matic which is super easy to use and edit afterwards. I also use Placeit for intro's and outro's, again it is super easy to use and very cost effective.

Many of you inspired me to think about using videos. I've also been watching Jay's recent training about repurposing content for YouTube and other social media. I'm also very keen to get into Tik Tok. I'll be like the daggy mum trying to be cool. Ha! I don't care! I love Tik Tok and I think it could be a great platform for the product we have. We might even get some merch for our co-worker Peggy so she can join in. Although she doesn't follow directions very well :)

I've also been using my writing skills that I've honed in the last few years here at WA to write up documentation for our users.

So whilst I haven't been working on any sites here at WA, I've been putting everything I've learnt here into practice. I'm very thankful for the fantastic training here, and for all the ideas and inspiration this community shares. The training and support here can be used in so many different ways.
