I tried editing the Google+ post pinned to my profile ("Effective Communication in the Workplace ..."). I lost all my +1's. I offer my experience as a cautionary tale.

I followed bothewebguy's tutorial on how to get tracked by Google. Then I followed onefineham's tutorial on how to request indexing from Google. Within 24 hours, all five of my posts/pages were indexed. And the indexing seems to stick.Much thanks to them for improving the quality of WA's tutorials!
