My First Month at Wealthy Affiliate
To be honest, I thought I’d be farther along
But to be fair, it is no one’s fault but my own and I know that.
I think I’ve mentioned before that I may have a touch of self-diagnosed ADD. It’s as if my brain works much faster than the rest of me and so I have trouble following - trouble following people, conversations, storylines, and most recently, training modules. Specifically the training modules here at Wealthy Affiliate.
It isn’t that the content in the modules are boring or out of date or lack depth.
To the contrary, the Training is well-structured, focused, detailed and broken up in just the right lengths as to make each part easily digestible and actionable.
The problem, and solution, is ME.
I just want to put it out there because you can’t change what you don’t acknowledge (according to Dr. Phil) and I want to make a change! I have wanted to become an online entrepreneur for years now. When I came across the Wealthy Affiliate program, I felt that here was a roadmap that could take me there - to a place of financial independence and freedom. I still believe it can, if I only follow the training and complete the courses.
So, I guess this post is really just a reminder for me, a kick in the rear to stay on track.
If you’re like me, or if you are starting to lose focus, or if you are feeling discouraged about your progress, check yourself and make sure you aren’t the problem. And if you find out, like I did, that you actually are the problem, do yourself a big favor and get out of your own way.
I want to encourage you to gear up and give it another go. Complete the training. It’s going to be well worth it in the end. Check out this video to see what happens to a lot of us.
Till next time.

I am also ADD so understand your challenges. For me it all comes down to self management. I know how I function or don't function and I simply have to embrace it and continually get rid of distractions which is not easy around here. By the way I found a book called "The One Thing" by Gary Keller very helpful. You might too.
