Hi everyone, Michael here...

I hope you're all well. I just finished having lunch and turned my immediete thoughts to "Is Affiliate Marketing A Scam In 2020 and beyond?"

Which Is Not, but I wanted to address this for the newbies and even people who've been around for a long time that there is a HUGE PROBLEM You're Seeing but pushing away, listen in.

To give you some context, I entered the affiliate marketing world in the Health and Wellness space some time ago growing a niche website blog through affiliate networks like:

  • Amazon
  • Shareasale
  • Clickbank
  • And more...

I've had success with YouTube too, and other platforms - Having found my successes in it - which by the way have not been easy by any means(personally, physicallly, professionally)...like seriously this was tuff and still is.

This then has purposely and well conciously allowed me on to focus on other projects - to see how I could help the same people who were once in my shoes via the "Make Money Online" niche, by getting results within the health niche and a few other audiences...

And now that I've been on that project for some time I can clearly see why so many people to this day Repell and believe Why Affiliate Marketing is a scam...

People selling high ticket courses of like $2,000+ ALL for just a commission is the corporate. This isn't new news(I've known about this for a long time), but I've just researched it more and more, researched the "gurus", the "newcomers" that blew out from nowhere - checked what their tactics and strategies are...

How they "lure" people into things along with:

  • Metrics
  • Copywriting
  • Sales funnels
  • scripts
  • websites
  • email
  • and so much more...

And the common trait among like over 90% of these Make Money Online Nichers join through other Make Money Online nichers to promote the same thing(s). For example:

If you watched a certain "review" video on an educational platform, wouldn't you question how they're making money?

Do you ever ask yourself "Do they monetize a passion, hobby, and or interest?"

Truth is, the majority don't, they jumped on the "MMO" train to "provide value" that's disguised with an agenda to get you to buy an educational course OR an information product/software WITHOUT them using it to grow a passion, hobby or interest outside of this niche.

Have you ever stopped to think about that?

Another example: If I did a review on Salesforce, you bet your butt I wouldn't just put that review out there if I hadn't experienced it for myself in my health and wellness business or at least with someone else's.

I addressed this to my group members not to long ago in video format. You have to be careful because so many people "who have a business" become an affiliate of a program, then just "maybe" buy the courses/products, ONLY to then turn around and promote them back to you...

They don't even use the material to grow an actual business! Unfortunetely that's what affiliate marketnig has evolved into:

  • Done-for-you systems
  • Done-for-you systems without products
  • Courses where you just promote the tools...

And then the same person you refer turns around to do the same thing! It's almost an MLM. There are very well disguised "mentors" out there in this space especially the big ones you have to be careful about...

Their words, tonality, and persuassion is better than average, and some that blow up in months because what they do is promote an expensive course to either the right or wrong people...

In attempt for the high ticket commissions. It's miscommunication and mistargeting that's a problem. Do you ever hear people in these MMO videos say that they started in a different niche before? Not always, but You occasionaly do.

Why don't do they rarely ever raise the "cons" about a program but are always enthusiastic about the "pros?" Simple - Conversions.

So my point overall is this...

Don't become a sucker for money. Take your time, master patience, evaluate people thoroughly, and use the actual skills and course to become the expert in your niche(preferabbly outside of the Make money online niche to start)...

that's what the Entreprenurial online certification here at Wealthy Affiliate is there for.

And then later on you can use your education, your experiences, and more to back up that you're actually a credible and "loud voice" you sould be listened to among a crowd of wannabees.

Or you can just keep writing or making video reviews on a topic you care nothing about only to make money with...I hear it and see it all the time.

Nows your time to smartly follow the trends of today, look into the past for guidance but NOT only rely on what happened years ago when the field of affiliate marketing was wide open...look at tomorrow and what works today so you don't get discouraged.

What are your thoughts?
