One Hour.
I challenged myself to see what I could do at a normal every day rate of speed. I did not get my time clock out and sharpen my #2 pencil or get my white out ready ( my blonde sister did that to my other computer and MAN.. the screen is SO hard to read now!! J/K :-D) I have been here for 4 weeks or just 28 days now. I have been all over the place and needed to focus in on one niche because I am ready to get rolling already.
I have done certification training up to level 2 lesson 4 completed. I am at building traffic in lesson 5. That lesson will be done later on today but I am going to record my first hour of the day today that I took the time with my new mentor Christopher Scott. He is a great man and an easy man to learn from for me.
I had prayed earlier in the week for God to help me find a way to understand what I needed to do to get this going in the direction I needed to go. I had my niche but I also wanted to make a WA site which I had not done yet. I had been reaching out and talking with Chris and I asked him if he would be willing to teach me how to put together the site the way I wanted to. He said he knew exactly what I was thinking about and if I wanted to, he would be willing to mentor me once or twice a month and give me guidance when I ask him.
I thought that was perfect since I would be doing my websites but have a person I could bounce all my crazy ideas off of before I published them and looked like a preschooler on a chalkboard. In the ONE HOUR with Chris today we managed to do the following:
1) We established a niche to work on - freefrompanicattacks.com . I merged my stress site and added anxiety to it because "You too can be Free From Panic Attacks!"
2) We found and bought the domain for Free From Panic Attacks. We took some time to make sure this was the right name before we decided on this name because for those new at picking a niche, it is all in the name you pick on if you will be found easy or not.
3) We created a custom home page so that others can join the WA and I can get referrals to here.
4) We created a front end login for immediate login from the website. After doing it on that website, I can in turn repeat the steps and complete it on the others later today.
5) We placed a banner on the website and created an embedded banner and placed it on the website. This makes it possible for my code to be added so that the viewer that clicks the banner will get me credit for joining the WA and not someone else.. That is a valuable step.
6) We created social media presence on Facebook and Twitter and placed full banners with posts leading to click the banner to join the WA
All this was accomplished in one hour.with Chris guiding me through the steps. It was very simple when I had a guide to show me the way to navigate through the pages and texts I needed to get the banners and the URLs I needed.
We still had not touched on the Instagram and Linkedin accounts yet which would be next session along with how to drive traffic, internal linking, back linking, and conversion optimization. I was impressed with the way Chris taught me the tools to use and he explained why I needed them too. That is always important to me. I like to know why I am using something not just because I told you to use it. I will be more comfortable using them next time alone and be able to tell others that ask me why I am using them (the URL shortener for example).
Getting all of this done in an hour has gotten me off to a great start on this Monday morning and I wanted to thank you Christopher Scott for all of the help you gave me this morning. It is greatly appreciated. If anyone needs any help, feel free to ask me. I am willing to pay it forward. I feel honored that Chris shared his time with me so I will do what I can to pay it forward.

Having a mentor was well worth the investment to me. It helped me to focus on the task at hand and we were able to zip through what we wanted to get done in no time at all. We are going to meet once or twice a month to see how I am doing. I really enjoyed what we did today. I am sure you will to if you were to have a mentor. Look him up Christopher Scott. He is a WA member. Tell him I sent you.

Hi, Mike.
Congratulations on the wonderful progress you achieved in such a short time!
I'm curious about something you said: "Having a mentor was well worth the investment to me."
What was the investment you made?

You can do just what I did John, It is easy to do. I can help you focus on some of it if you like. I am not an expert but I can help show you what I know to point you in the right direction if you like.

Yes! It will get better over time. I felt that we were very productive but we left some time available. I was "sloppy". I could have tightened it up and done a few more things in that hour I think. (I am my own worst critic lol)

Well done all that you have achieved and just keep going. I always think that we could do with what I call an idiots guide for things that we are not sure about that are so easy to understand that anyone can use them. I have to say that Chris is a great guy and always willing to help. He has a great sense of humour too and loves to banter. You have a great mentor there. xx
