How to speed up Indexing
Hey everyone!
As promised, here's my post on indexing.
Now, let me start out with a short disclaimer:
I am not an expert nor a pro at anything related to affiliate marketing or SEO. The following information I'll be sharing is what I've personally experienced, and was given the information by a trusted WA friend (You know who you are ;) ).
Now that that's out of the way, let's get to the point.
Google Search Console.
This puppy is going to help you get indexed in more ways than one.
The main way is that you set up your site to be "crawled" more often, I think at least that's what Kyle demonstrated in the training... IDK, but here's what I DO know:
You're going to want to use 'Fetch' to get indexed faster.
How do we do this?
Here's a quick tutorial:
1. Get into your Search Console account
2. In the left sidebar, click on "Crawl"
3. Underneath the "Crawl" tab, you should see "Fetch as Google". Click on that.
This is what the page will look like up at the top:
You should see your website shown on the left side of the outlined text bar.
Example: http://yourwebsitehere.com/
4. In the outlined bar, you're going to want to enter the back half (the section that follows the .com/ ) of the post URL you want indexed.
Example: This is how your link looks like in full: https://levelupmyoffice.com/how-to-afford-an-upgrade-even-if...
This is the section you want to post in the text bar:
how-to-afford-an-upgrade-even-if...
And that's basically it!
Once you enter that in, just click, "Request Indexing" and POOF! Google is now going to give your post a look faster than if you hadn't submitted it!
This of course leads to faster indexing, although, it is no guarantee.
But after doing this, six of my posts had been indexed within two days of being entered!
Again, I don't claim to know everything about this, but I know it works :)
Enjoy!
Much love,
- Jess
