WA - an adventure so far
Hey everyone!
So today I want to share my experience so far at Wealthy Affiliate. I actually have been around for quite some time now. I have been a member since end of 2016, but I cannot consider that I have been actively building my business since then. I had many things going on, a long-distance relationship at the time, all of the problems of adolescence (oh....wait! I am 31 already! never mind...). Now, seriously, my entrance in the world of the World Wide Web was not smooth, as I am sure it wasn't for many of you. So many things to learn, so little time to do it.
However, for 2 months now (since my long-distance became SUPER CLOSE relationship with the bf moving to Portugal to live with me....CRAZY!!) I have dedicated my time to WA more and I have seen some progress.
I now have my little website starting to be ranked with some of the blog posts I wrote. If you want, you can check it out at www.learn-portuguese.org. Please also do leave a comment, to help out a fellow warrior in the war of google ranking ;)
In fact, I am very happy with the way my website is going. But what makes me the happiest is the fact that I have learnt so much in so little time. I always had wondered how all the people could be successful with their online businesses. I thought there should be some kind of magic behind it. Truth is. There is, and WA tells you all about it.
You have to work hard, however. But I am sure that, like me, you do this with passion. So it isn't really like working, it is more like a hobby. But a very serious one!
During my course, I remember having such a "aha!" moment. That was when I came to find out about KEYWORDS. Our lovely ones, right? I really enjoyed learning about it and finally understanding how I could start finding ideas for my blog. I really enjoyed researching about them and I could not wait to start working on them. (Don't worry if you are new to WA and you do not know yet what I mean with keywords. You will soon find out, just continue with your course ;)).
And so, I am thriving with my webpage about my cute and rich language, European Portuguese, and the best way to learn it. In my webpage, I wrote several posts already that give you good (I hope!) insights about the language and I am planning to make my own materials (videos, e-books, etc) to help people learn European Portuguese.
This idea came to me because as a teacher (online, mainly) I get many "complaints" from students saying that they can only find Brazilian Portuguese materials on the web. This is totally natural, as Brazilian Portuguese has a bigger market than European Portuguese, but since I saw that so many people were interested in my little Portugal and its beautiful language (I think ;)), I decided to create this website.
