Introducing Claude Cowork & What It Can Do

Hello everyone,

First and Foremost, there is a Danger involved in using this Beta version so if you are not sure then best to avoid it. Marine Mel on the other hand has dived right in.

Here is the Warning from Claude:

Understand the risks

Claude brings AI directly to your browser, handling tasks and navigating sites for you. These new capabilities create risks bad actors may try to exploit.

Malicious actors can hide instructions in websites, emails, and documents that trick AI into taking harmful actions without your knowledge, including:

  • Accessing your accounts or files
  • Sharing your private information
  • Making purchases on your behalf
  • Taking actions you never intended

What is Claude Cowork?

It can even go on to the Internet and gather information which is what I allowed it to do, BUT it needed my permission every step of the way and this also allowed me to see how it proceeded and to be careful of where I allowed it to venture.

I had to add the Claude Extension on Chrome.

So here is me talking to Cowork:

-----------------------------------------------------

Still not totally clear how this is going to work so let's Research competitor strategies for promoting Wealthy Affiliate.

Great choice - let's dive in with a concrete example. Here's how this works:

I'll use your browser to:

  1. Search for competitor content
  2. Analyze their strategies
  3. Gather data across multiple sites
  4. Summarize findings for you

Let me start by researching how others are promoting Wealthy Affiliate. I'll look at different angles - blogs, YouTube strategies, review sites, social media approaches, etc.

Good - I can see search results appearing. Let me scroll down to see more competitor content and then visit some of the top-ranking sites to analyze their strategies.

I can see video reviews and articles. Let me continue scrolling to see the organic search results (blog posts and review sites) which will give us better insight into content strategies.

Good - I'm seeing competitor YouTube strategies. I notice channels like "Learn to Make Honest Money Online" and "Roy Bretton Online" with long-form reviews. Let me continue scrolling to find the blog/website results which will show content marketing strategies.

Perfect! Now I'm seeing organic results. I can see "My Wealthy Affiliate Review After 9 Years" - this is exactly the kind of competitor content we want to analyze. Let me click on this to examine their strategy.

Excellent! I'm now on a competitor's review page. I can see this is hosted on the WA platform itself (my.wealthyaffiliate.com), and they're using a strategic CTA placement. Let me scroll through this page to analyze the full content structure and strategy.

Perfect! Now I have the full content. Let me open a few more competitor sites to build a comprehensive analysis. Let me go back and check other results.

Good, I can see Quora discussions appearing too. Let me look for more review sites outside of the WA platform. Let me search for a different angle.

I see we have enough data now. Let me compile the comprehensive competitive analysis for you based on what I've gathered.

Wealthy Affiliate Competitor Strategy Analysis

Here's what I discovered by researching how successful affiliates promote Wealthy Affiliate:

1. CONTENT MARKETING STRATEGIES

Long-Form Personal Reviews (Most Dominant Strategy)

  • Pattern: Personal journey stories spanning 5-11 years with WA
  • Structure:
    • Honest "what I achieved" sections (websites built, income from Google Ads)
    • Transparent "what I still struggle with" admissions (builds trust)
    • Specific results without overpromising
    • Multiple CTAs embedded throughout content

Example from Trecias (9-year review):

  • Achievements: Built multiple websites, mastered web design, earning through Google Ads
  • Challenges: Still working on promoting WA itself (creates relatability)
  • Key message: "Long-term value, not get-rich-quick"

SEO-Optimized Content Approach:

  • Targeting keywords like "wealthy affiliate review," "is it worth it," "does it work"
  • Publishing on WA's own platform (my.wealthyaffiliate.com) to leverage domain authority
  • Using benefit-driven headlines that address skepticism

2. VIDEO MARKETING (YOUTUBE DOMINANCE)

Key Players Identified:

  • Simon Crowe - Multiple videos (tutorials, 7-step processes, reviews)
  • Learn to Make Honest Money Online
  • Roy Bretton Online (11-year review)

Video Strategy:

  • Long-form content (12-20+ minutes)
  • Tutorial-style "how to make money" walkthroughs
  • Annual review updates showing longevity
  • Honest positioning ("realistic expectations" messaging)
  • Direct affiliate links in descriptions

3. CORE PROMOTION TACTICS

From the AI Overview and competitor analysis:

Content-Driven SEO:

  • Targeting niche-specific keywords
  • Creating problem-solving content that naturally incorporates WA links
  • Writing detailed product reviews
  • Tutorial content showing the platform in action

Multi-Channel Approach:

  • Social media presence (building email lists)
  • Community engagement within WA platform
  • External blog content driving to WA affiliate links
  • YouTube as primary video channel

Trust-Building Elements:

  • Disclosure of affiliate relationships
  • Balanced reviews (pros AND cons)
  • Long-term member proof (years of membership)
  • Specific, non-exaggerated results
  • Free value before the pitch

4. MESSAGING THEMES THAT WORK

What Competitors Emphasize:

  • "Beginner-friendly" positioning
  • "Sustainable, long-term" approach (vs. get-rich-quick)
  • Community and support
  • Comprehensive training
  • Website tools and hosting included
  • Real skill-building (marketable beyond WA)

Objection Handling:

  • Addressing "is it outdated?" concerns
  • Acknowledging information overwhelm
  • Being honest about effort required
  • Sharing personal struggles and growth

5. TACTICAL OBSERVATIONS

Platform Usage:

  • Many use WA's own blogging platform to leverage SEO
  • External independent sites for broader authority
  • YouTube for visual learners and algorithm reach
  • Quora for Q&A-based traffic

CTA Strategy:

  • Multiple CTAs embedded in content
  • "Start Free" messaging prominent
  • Low-friction entry points
  • Direct affiliate links with clear value propositions

So What Does This Mean for You?

You're competing against people who:

  1. Have 5-11 years of documented WA history
  2. Are producing comprehensive long-form content (2000+ words)
  3. Are dominating YouTube with tutorial-style videos
  4. Are using multi-channel strategies (blog + video + social)
  5. Are being brutally honest (which builds trust)

The gap they're leaving for you:

::: snipped :::

Mel to WA:

Cowork then created a 16 page Wealthy Affiliate 2026 Promotion Strategy with a 90 day content strategy.

All I can say is WOW!

I will need to do some editing on its strategy.

We can ask it for more info or to drill down where it needs to.

I'm impressed and its FREE.

Now that I understand more about it, I will go deeper into other areas on my PC and the internet.
