If Humans Hallucinate Every Day, Why Should AI Be Any Different?

Hello Everyone,

I've been meaning to ask this question for quite some time as I feel AI has been given a bad reputation for its hallucinating at times.

So my question is, if humans hallucinate every day and I mean every day, why should AI be any different?

Think about it.

Do you have any idea what I am alluding to?

Everywhere we look we only see stories and that doesn't make them truth no matter how many times they are repeated.

Let's look at News Media. We have liberal, conservative moderate and extremes everywhere we look all telling us different stories. Which ones are hallucinating and which ONE is not?

Let's look at Religions in a general way. They all have their stories and they certainly don't agree on anything. Sounds like an awful lot of hallucinating going on.

Let's look at History. Depending on who is telling the story you get a very different slant on what took place.

Every country has their own cultures and traditions which can often be at odds with others.

Some schools in the USA can not even tell what gender a person is. What is AI supposed to make of that nonsense?

Medical advice is all over the place and sometimes its more about money than real practical and truthful info. Often Holistic natural alternatives are banned or discouraged when they can actually do more good than not.

So through all of this, how is AI supposed to find out what is the truth and not some human hallucination?

Look at advertising. Is it about facts or just a way to get you to buy their product or service?

Is it any wonder that there can be so much division among people over human hallucinations or outright lies?

Does this change your view of AI and its hallucinating?

I don't care what the source is, AI or human, I always try to get to the actual facts. That's just me.
