Codex Continues Plodding Along

Hi everyone,

I'm using Codex to put together as complete as possible bibliography on a prolific Catholic writer who lived from (27 September 1696 – 1 August 1787).

What Codex Does

• Writes and Edits Code: Creates features, fixes bugs, refactors code, and runs tests from plain English prompts.
• Operates Autonomously: Handles long-running engineering tasks, works in parallel across multiple projects using work trees, and can run routine tasks in the background.

Its interesting to watch it work and I do have to give it approval as it moves along.

All four registers select BU-071 — the refutation of De la prédication. An English Preaching volume lists a refutation titled “On Preaching.” I’ll compare its body with the Italian opening and fourteen sections before treating it as a complete translation.

The English body covers all fourteen Italian units, including the opening and conclusion, but groups them under two headings. I also found wording differences to preserve: the Italian’s ten families are not specified in the English OCR, “Romulus” becomes “Romulus and Remus,” and Palladio becomes Rufinus. Structural coverage is supported; completeness and fidelity remain on HOLD.

I’ll verify the preserved queue after BU-072, record its accepted priority flag, and carry out the bounded T28 identity and English-edition pass.

All four registers select BU-073b — Affetti divoti a Gesù Cristo di un’anima che vuol esser tutta Sua. BU-073 is already qualified, so I’m leaving it closed. The register identifies BU-073b as a six-division devotional work despite its appendix placement.

The Italian source has a count discrepancy: its bibliographic note says six divisions, but the contents and body contain seven, including “Affetti diversi.” I’ll preserve the register’s wording and document the seventh division separately in the comparison.

The 1841 English Love of Our Lord Jesus Christ is evidence for the parent work; the inspected file has not established the separate Affetti cycle. I’m checking the collected English volume’s appendix before treating any similarly titled prayers as a match.

I may very well publish his works in the other languages as well.

I expect this project to take another 2 - 3 days before it is complete.

Then I'll be able to use its framework to investigate other author's works.
