AI Can Not See What It Can Not See. Its Clueless.
Hi everyone,
After another 3 hours working with ChatGPT, its more than obvious now that it has limitations as to what it can see and access online.
Just the same as WA Starter Members are limited to what they can read/watch, AI has the same restrictions across many websites.
It continued to try to tell me where to click...etc., but the info was outdated and incorrect so I have wasted a lot of time going back and forth with it.
And trying to build an extensive App that I am trying to build has become very frustrating to say the least.
I am NOT giving up by any means, but I need to rethink how I am trying to do this.
Once successful it will easily 100X my Publishing.
KDP Amazon restricts how many titles per day we can submit now, but I have a plan so that won't slow me down either.
We Must keep pushing forward. Be relentless! Never Give Up!
To Our Success!

I think we are all realising what AI is useful for and what it is currently struggling with. However, where there's a will, Mel... you know the rest!
Or as my dad used to say, "Where there's a will, there's always relations!"
Not sure which is better but I'm sure they're both true!
Hi Mel,
You are spot on!
I think that's the reason there is always a disclaimer on most generative AIs. That one should carry out due diligence, as AI info could need double-checking to be on the safe side.
Thank you for the post and the update.
More power to your elbow.
Wishing you a blessed day.
Makinde
Thanks Makinde!
Yes, I am going to go and recheck a project that ChatGPT did a few weeks ago just in case.

I got ChatGPT-5 here in the UK this morning. I mentioned it to my daughter who was very negative about it. Evidently the 'experts' think it's been a very bad move so I am cautious until I know more.
It seems to be fine for what I need it. In my short experience of using it, it makes the same mistakes that ChatGPT-4o made.
Hope it works for what you need eventually.
All the best,
Isabella
I had a problem setting up Stripe for Substack. But with the help of another Substack member and Chatty, I got it done. Of course, I got to the point where I would do what Chatty would tell me to do, then I would give her a screenshot, every time.
You are more tech-savvy than I am, Mel, but this worked for me.
JD
Thanks for sharing Jay! Yes, screenshots can really help AI. I've had to use them a few times also especially when I couldn't find what it said should be there.

Good morning Mel,
That's an interesting post, Mel, as despite the cleverness of AI, it still has big limitations.
It tells me that it will remember things, but it doesn't!
Sometimes I have to go backwards and forwards with it and that's what I think I could have done it quicker myself! I'm not sure if it does it deliberately, but how come sometimes AI can do things instantly and then other times, it's like an awkward, spoilt child!?
I hope you're able to keep pushing forward.
Speeding up your publishing 100 times is incredible, so I can understand why you want to carry on.
Have a great day.
Roy
Thanks for sharing Roy! Sometimes I think we get to expecting too much from AI and its still in its infancy.
Mel
That's also very true, Mel!
I guess the fact that we have been so amazed what it can do, we then potentially expect too much, possibly.
The good thing is that it's improving as time goes on.
All the best.
Roy
I think I am just expecting too much too soon, Roy. But I'll keep pushing it as much as I can.
Mel
I actually told ChatGPT, yesterday, Mel that I thought ChatGPT 4 was better than version 5, to me, it seems to be making hard work of things that it used to know! Or maybe it's just me! So I'm not sure if you are expecting too much, Mel, or if it really is ChatGPT 5.
Enjoy your day.
Roy
ChatGPT 4 solved a problem that 5 was having trouble with. 4 & I celebrated that. :-)
Mel
Thank you, Mel!
So it's not just me, there is a difference. It also seems slower, but maybe it's thinking more carefully and tried to be more thorough, rather than rushing an answer.
Roy
You are most welcome Roy.
