Account Restored. Thanks For Your Support!

Hello Everyone,

In what seems like a miracle, my KDP Amazon account was restored.

I had just worked out must have expenses vs income and realized there would not be the money to pay for food for the family in July. I had tears in my eyes when the email arrived and at first I was hesitant to read it.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts, prayers and support. It really means a lot to me.

The good news also is Claude and I poured over contingency plans going forward.

I learned we can publish on IngramSpark for free including free ISBN's if need be. Titles from there can actually appear on Amazon as well as Apple, Barnes & Noble..etc.

I am actually going to reduce my footprint on Amazon by unpublishing a number of titles. Claude and I have been mapping that out.

Before there was Amazon there was CreateSpace which Amazon eventually purchased and integrated their titles. However in the process the metadata was corrupted and that is one of the problems with my titles. Its best to unpublish them, make a note of them and potentially republish them in the future. That seems to be the safest way to clean up my catalog.

Many of you offered me suggestions and alternatives and I will explore and incorporate all of that. Thank you.

I lost sales for the days my account was terminated and sales are starting to come in again.

For a guy who likes to be prepared, I was not prepared for something like this.

We are starting an emergency fund with $X a month being put into it. Since there are no limits to the titles I can add to IngramSpark, I will be adding titles as fast as possible.
