Overcoming Obstacles during the Holidays
I hope everyone had a great Christmas. This Christmas has been tough. My rank has gone down because I have not been as active. Sadly, my dad got real sick and ended up in the hospital two weeks before Christmas. I had to take my father to the emergency room. He lost lots of blood and had an infection. It was very trying time and an emotional one.
We prayed as a family and I was by my dad's bedside. He ended up in the ICU. After 5 days, he was sent to a regular room. He remained in the hospital another 4 days after procedures. I brought daddy home from the hospital and we watched over him. He was still not well. He struggled and had no strength.
This holiday did not feel like Christmas at all. We didn't think about decorations or presents or parties. All we could think about was if daddy was going to spend another Christmas with us.
Christmas did arrive with some miracles. Daddy was still with us for Christmas. My brother and sister-in-law came into town and surprised us for Christmas. I have not seen my brother in years. My son's daddy showed up to pick up my son for his Christmas visitation. My son was happy to see his daddy for visitation.
On Christmas day, my brother Gabe cooked for all of us. My other brother, Michael, paid for all of us to go to a family fun center and spend time together playing games. My son was happy because he got some awesome gifts and got to spend time with family and his dad. All I can say is God is good. My daddy didn't eat with us for Christmas. He went to see his doctor day after Christmas and they got my dad well.
I have tears in my eyes as I type this. I didn't expect the year to end like this but, it has been a bittersweet Christmas. My dad is a diabetic and his immune system is real weak. Dad is doing well now but, I don't know how long he will be with us. I just know that Christmas was extra special this year but, it was a tough time.
Hold your loved ones and family close. Never take anyone for granted. We only have one mom and one dad. Life is too precious. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.
Here is to the New Year. May you be blessed with success, prosperity, good health, happiness, joy, and love.
I am now dusting myself off, and continuing with my journey here at Wealthy Affiliate. God Bless everyone.

I agree so much - savor every moment you have with him. I've lost both my parents, but treasure all the moments we spent together.
