One Month with WA
Well, I have officially been with Wealthy Affiliate for one month....woohoo! It has been a month of learning, and I still have a long ways to go!
In this past month, I have learned how to set up my own website, learned the importance of keywords, how to sign up and add affiliate links to my site, and some good tips on how to produce readable content.
My original google search a couple of months ago was on how to start a blog. I just wanted something my friends and family could read to stay updated on my fitness goals.
In my search, I kept coming across people promoting Wealthy Affiliate....so I did what anyone would do and started looking at "is Wealthy Affiliate a scam?"
I saw nothing but positive reviews, but what really hooked me was the free starter program....I did not need to enter my credit card info and then cancel if I didn't like it!
Every other program wanted my money, and THEN would help me start a blog.
After the first few days, I knew this was exactly what I was looking for. So I signed up for the first month for $19.
It was a little harder to sign up for the year, even with the black Friday deal, as $299 USD works out to close to $400 CDN! That's a lot of money right before Christmas, but I knew I was committed to the year either way, and I was saving money by going for a year at a time.
I knew people made money off of websites and blogs, but had no idea how! I now know how that works and I am in the process of making it happen for myself as well.
I am patient...I realize that this is a process and may take a little while for my website to gain traction and traffic. But I am ok with that, and will just keeping putting content on my site and work on putting up reviews on products I use.
I am excited to see what each month brings, and I am sure online success is in my future!

Hello Melissa, you are doing great and I felt the conversion rate from Canadian to American, but still took the plunge. Keep up the training and maintain your patience. It is one of the key ingredients for success.
Woohoo! Nothing haywire about you. A great attitude! Mel!
