What's your "big reason why"? Here is mine - please share yours :-)
What's your big reason why?
Nice picture right? Nah - that's not my "big reason why". I am not doing this so I can make lots of money and spend my days in front of the beach although I would love to be in that place again in the near future (Boracay, Philippines).
Today I am going to share some of my personal story with you. I started this journey so many months ago with a dream that some viral blogging system will make me lots of money...lol..I just got engaged a few months ago. My fiancée is in the Philippines and it is very expensive for the whole process to complete. A lot of expenses here and there. Plus the threat that I was going to lose my job. That was my first big reason why - to make oodles of money so our dreams can come true. Funny how you will soon realize that money doesn't come overnight and that you have to invest your time learning and building your business.
That is still one of my reasons why though but now I don't expect to earn all that money to pay for my wedding nor to pay for immigration..lol...I started my journey in Wealthy Affiliate November 7, 2013 I believe. I finished my website www.thisandthatgig.com a few weeks later and that day was very special. It was one of my proudest moments. You spent countless hours perfecting your contents, your post and your pages. You change your theme at least about 10 to 20 times...I know you know what I'm talking about...lol...
Once you finish your website you get addicted to writing valuable information for other people to use. As I complete the pages of my website and start putting together some ideas and contents I realize that I am truly enjoying what I was doing. New posts for my blog or something like this for WA - it gives me a sense of satisfaction. I had my sister review my website and she gave me two thumbs up. She said it was entertaining and informative at the same time. I love it! I realized that was my "big reason why" - It's creating something that would matter to me and to the people I know or to anyone that would care enough to read. It's about creating something useful to the world. It can be for the unemployed person next door or for someone that is looking to earn some extra income.
I will continue this journey and continue to create contents that will matter. Even if you just post new blog every 3 or 4 days that is about over 100 blog posts in a year into your website. Eventually Google will catch on and figure you're in it for the long haul. Maybe next year I will take another dream vacation and visit my fiancée in the Philippines and bring her back here for our wedding.

My big reason why is my 3 year-old granddaughter of whom we have custody. Her story includes drugs, alcohol, violence, over-dose, etc. We lost the majority of our retirement in the market crash. The rest we used trying to stop this insanity. We were unsuccessful and broke. Now, I have to figure out how to buy food, meds, and pay bills with very little money. Plus, I want Lily to have the best chance ever to rise above all of this. I want to give her the best well-rounded education possible so she can be a strong independent woman. Hopefully, she will make better choices in her life.
Betty I truly believe in this business or no matter what niche you're involved in that if you really work hard at it and you provide good content and valuable information to the over 2 billion people that eventually you will start earning some income. My Big Why....
For the last five years, I have been homeless, and busting my butt to take care of myself after I was abandoned by my mother at 17. I have worked and lost so many jobs, for so many different reasons. But I've always dreamt of owning my own business and being my own boss. I believe WA can help me achieve that dream. I have just begun, haven't even set up my site yet but I can already tell this is a successful program. I am engaged to be married and nothing about weddings is cheap, and seeing as my fiancee is, and has been struggling just like me since 18, I thought one of us needs to take initiative to make more money, to have our own home and cars and to be able to live the lives we have dreamed of together. Also, I need to go to college and finish getting my degree, and having my own car and place will help me to succeed. I am ambitious and hard working and tired of being undervalued as an employee...my big why.

I don't think my reason is too unique, but I basically want to do something that I enjoy that connects with other people at the same time. Whether it's something that might make me a bit of income after work, or turns into a full-time job (fingers crossed), I'm ready to give it a real try. I feel like I have the ideas and just need the guidance and support and direction that WA offers. I'm definitely not getting that sense of fulfillment from my corporate job, and I often question whether I would with most typical jobs.
When I look back on how I spend my time, what I really love to do is share my interests with other people and collaborate with them. As much as I love creating art and writing on my own, I like sharing just as much. Being creative doesn't mean you have to live a lonely life! At least, that's how I feel.
Like you, I don't need a place on the beach :). I just want to feel like I am spending my time in the way that's right for me and actually helping others by doing it.

I have a few why's - an old house that needs remodeled. Nothing fancy, just a kitchen that doesn't look like an HGTV Before. Kids that need funds for parochial high school and college after that. A little less stress and a little more wiggle room...

That's awesome Mel. I've yet to start working on my website but I can't wait til I do! I hope you're able to be together with your Fiancee soon. My big reason why is freedom. I want my son and I to be free - I've spent the last few years working multiple jobs, sometimes getting government help, having an unstable financial and home environment while I figure out how I'm gonna do this thing called life. Being a musician and self-employed tutor is rewarding, but not very financially stable.
To not have to worry about the money side of things and do what I want, when I want as well as be in a position to help others along the way would be a dream come true and WA represents the possible attainment of that for me. I'm hells excited.
