Happy Sunday Everyone!

Which of these titles do you prefer? "Calling Great Writers" or "Wonderful Writers Wanted".

I had been looking around for helpful writing tips and came across a post that offered the following suggestion: Avoid alliteration. Always

Well, that shook me up! I love alliterations and often find they just happen when I am writing and thinking. Let me share this lovely poem I found online with you all.

The allure of alliteration allows all authors
To perfect the punch of their poetry and prose
Writers weave their witty, wonderful words into webs;
Sparkling spiderwebs spun by specialised specimens
To tempt, tease and trap their intended targets.

I wondered if anybody has thoughts or experiences to share about using them when writing blogs and posts? I would love to hear comments from some of the many great writers here.

And please let me know which title you prefer for this post!

Thanks so much for reading and enjoy the day!

Melanie

Good Morning Michael and thanks for your comments! yes, I think you are right. Cheers.

Calling all writers definitely! after all this is a call to action!

I personally prefer alliteration, Melanie. To Hell with the rules! I like Calling All Writers best. :)

Hi Rick, Thanks for your comments! I reckon you must have some alliterate lyrics tucked away in that music somewhere right? Rock On!

You better believe it, Melanie! :)

Thant's funny, here was I racking my brain to justify the one I preferred. Jude's take on this is brilliant. Where better to go than to the Master Writer! :)

Hi Chuka, Thanks for your comments. Jude is a master is indeed!

That is kind of funny, it came from the best, of the best, of the writers here. and of course, Jude P will always be there and have the answer for all of us, She is one of the best friends you could ever have.
You could use those titles in a lot of different aspects on a site.
PM Jude, for the right answer.

That's really kind of you to say Mike, thank you so much :)

My pleasure dear, you are the best.

Hi Mike, I agree, Jude P is the best! I enjoy her blogs and posts immensely, as you can see. lol. Great teachers provoke thought and make people smile while they are doing it! Thanks for your comments! Cheers.

Hi Melanie, that was my post and the advice given it was firmly tongue in cheek and meant as a laugh.

As for the title, it would depend on where you wanted to use it. Let me know and I can give you a suggestion as to which would work the best :)

Hi Jude, Yes, it was and I Loved the post! I dig the tone in which it was written which probably explains why i liked it so much!! :) Truly, it catapulted me into serious thought, lol, and gave me an excuse to share a nice poem! I really am alliteration attracted and addicted so I felt this one in the solar plexus. There were some other very good points I took from that list that I do need to practice. One thing I am enjoying here is learning to/improve writing in general. I truly appreciate all the time you and others spend posting helpful advice. Cheers!
