Celebrating a Successful Public Speaking Opportunity

Dear WA Tribe,

This is a quick celebration note to say that everything went very well last Sunday during my public speaking gig ("Public Speaking Opportunity" https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/megawealthy9/blog/public-spe...).

The group was relatively small. About 30 people, some sitting and some at the back of the room.

I was speaking about our inner glass ceiling and how to start removing it.

The interaction was very good and powerful, and I was able to help 3 people overcome their fear to be on stage. :-) They came with me on stage at the end of my interactive presentation and the 4 of us received a standing ovation. :-)

Something New

I had done a lot of public speaking before, as a teacher, trainer, and photographer, so I already knew I could do it, but clearing my camera-shyness a few weeks ago actually made me feel a LOT more comfortable.

I was pleasantly surprised that I only got noticeably nervous a few minutes before the start and it only took a little bit of tapping and a few seconds of "power pose" to transform it into pure excitement. :-) THAT was new! :-) And most welcome! :-)

What the Point of Doing Public Speaking?

In addition to meeting some of my goals on my Why's list ("'Remembering our Why's' Series" https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/megawealthy9/blog/rememberin...), I also referred people to my blog and youtube channel.

AND

The group of students organising this fundraiser is also organising another event in April, about entrepreneurship. I hope they will confirm that I can also speak there. :-) I would like to speak about Online Entrepreneurship and Affiliate Marketing... I see a lot of potential... :-)
