Social Sites and Headaches
So I've worked out the best way to get through all the stuff I need to do is plan my day ahead the night before. Then cross off as I achieve my to-do-list. Well today has gone nothing like my plan. Headaches, headaches, headaches galore.
First merge my two google accounts - you would think this would be an easy task but alas you cannot merge the accounts. It is not that simple. It had to be done separately. So I moved emails across. I moved contacts across. I moved bookmarks across. You get the drift.
I had an issue with my site and comments not showing on posts correctly so wasted more time today trying to resolve this. Finally worked out that the "Preview" option in Wordpress dashboard does NOT accurately represent what it will look like on the finished site for everyone else. So hours wasted yesterday and today resolving a fault that didn't actually exist - sorry site support (but you still rock!).
So onto Facebook to get that ready to launch on Saturday. Put in a scheduled post for it to decide that me putting in 11am was actually 10am. No I want 11am MY time not 11am Sydney time. I'm NOT in Sydney - so waste more time trying to correct that. Then in scheduling the post I couldn't put the link to the post I wanted to share because it isn't live either because it is scheduled. So put the link to the site and just said the name of the post - it will be at the top by then - but now Facebook has picked the picture it wants to share from my blog and it's picked an advertisement picture. So I've put a picture I want it to use but can't delete the advertisement picture - headaches, circle, headaches, circle. Going to google to see how to easily fix this issue.
Still haven't looked at Twitter or Google+ or Pinterest and the morning is nearly shot!

On the plus side I've done three loads of washing, folded one load, hung three loads, and have a fourth in the machine. The "walking stomach" AKA teenage son is not actively complaining he is dying of hunger at present so I've calmed that beast for another 10 minutes.

Worked out how to add share a post buttons as they are included as part of my theme. However, when I press the button to create it, it is only creating Google+ even if I select Pinterest or Twitter or Facebook :/
I can change the Google+ in the code to the others and it works BUT it doesn't go anywhere :/ Messaged the theme creator (they're really good at responding but between my hours of 8pm-4am) for help so I should wake up to that tomorrow but I won't have time until Monday to sort it. This was today's plan and now it's shot :(
