The history of Valentine’s Day is strongly associated with France.  February was always the month of love.  The day was selected as the day for expressing love by the people.  According to popular beliefs, during the medieval period, birds in France began to mate in the second month of the year.

Love is in the air, and early spring is here.  Valentine’s Day is the day of love.  It has been regarded for many generations that Valentine's Day is thought to be to be the most affectionate time of the year.  .

It is the day to remember and enjoy for all the lovers, and couples.  Through the ages, February 14 has become the one day of the year, where romantic endeavors springs all over the world.  The color red represents love.  Valentine's Day, which is recognized with much gusto across the entire world?  Lovers show their unequaled love and passion by giving special gifts and greeting cards and spending the full day with each other.  Valentine’s Day gives you a chance to show your dearest how much you love them.  It is the Day to remember and enjoy the great times spent with each other.

According to Valentine’s Day legend, St. Valentine was placed in imprisonment prior to being put to death.  Just before his death, he sent her a love letter and signed it 'from your Valentine'.  An ambiance of love surrounded his death and men and women who learned about it propagated the story.  During this time, it was thought that he sent the very first valentine's greeting to a young girl who he had fallen in love with when she came up to visit him in prison on special occasion.                                                                                                                                                                                                                              However, it has never been made crystal clear as to which, if any, of these saints was the motivation for the special event of Valentine's Day. For all we know, none of these tales may have actually taken place and the story of St. Valentine may possibly be a fictional love story, very much like Romeo and Juliet.  Some also believe that this young lady was the jailer who was in charge of Valentine's imprisonment until he was put to death.
