These Resources Can HELP YOU! [A Public Service Announcement]

It's funny. I don't think of myself as that knowledgeable in the field of Internet Marketing, but lately I've found myself able to lend a hand to a few folks that needed one. And that got me thinking; I suppose there are other people on here that could benefit from some of these things. Therefore, I would like to share a couple of resources. Maybe these will help you.

1. http://www.favicon.co.uk/ -- This site is a free favicon generator. For those unaware, a favicon is the little icon that pops up at the top of the browser that distinguishes the web page that you're on. Anyhow, this site will allow you to make one for your site for FREE. Just supply an image & you're good to go. In my opinion, it makes your site look a bit more professional.
2. Google Webmaster Tools -- The information here is invaluable. Google itself is telling you how to properly develop your site in order to rank more easily with them! A caution here; you may want to put combing thru this information on your to do list, because there is quite a bit. Or you can do what I do & just go there periodically for tips, pointers, & info on a specific issue you're having. It pays to familiarize yourself with it....Matt Cutts will leave you be if you stay in compliance.
3. W3 Schools -- Let's face it; Internet Marketing is a business. Therefore, you must invest in yourself by building up your skillset so that you can build your business. The investment will pay dividends over the short, medium, & long term. There is no doubt about it. W3 schools will teach you HTML, CSS. PHP, Javascript, SQL....heck, all of the languages you need in order to competently build & manage your own sites to a significant degree. Shoot, once you build proficiency, you could even freelance as a troubleshooter solving other people's issues. It's worth it.

Of course I realize that this information can be overwhelming while you may still be figuring out the ropes. My intention is to give you the resources that you can take advantage of in time that will put you on top of your game!
