Just a bit about me.
Currently I am a 17 year old emancipated minor who lives with his fiancee in a single wide trailer with her grandparents. 8 people sleep here a night and things are always packed and we always find ourselves asking why can't we get ahead? We want to support ourselves and start a family but every time an oppertunity knocks at the door it gets shut in our faces. We have had our hopes up lord knows how many times and here we are still stuck. Currently we are going to ditch southern Oregon for central Wyoming. We depart on a bus the 12th of may for jobs where we make under $9 an hour a piece. We won't make enough by our selves to support us and a baby. We can't live our dream and we come from poor families. Her mom passed at a young age and her dad is addicted to cocaine and my parents were both killed cases of beer a night. Yet when we seem to look for a chance no one will give us one? And the goverment is no help. No where in high school was there a place we could go to learn how to provide for our future and now we are having to look at getting a GED next year. Throughout all this I can say I see great beauty in the fact that every time I see her face she lights up, every kiss I feel a warmth and every time I think of my future being with her I get the chills. I want to wish you guys so much luck in your venture together. It sounds like you guys are in love but have a lot of struggles but these struggles will only make you stronger in your lives. Keep your head up! And don't give up on your GED. Sometimes life can seem tricky at times but it always goes on through the good and bad :)
