Explorations and Life Experiences
Travel blog concerning the resources for life explorations and experiences. This blog will include examples of what I go through while planning and exploring. I have about 2990 places on my Guide Book For Life wish list. I know that it is all right if I arrive at only 5% of those places because it is the journey which is the true destination. It is the planning and expectation of future arrivals that keep me going. I am who I am no matter where I am and I am living in the moment while I do my planning. I am living in the moment when I am creating my itineraries. What if I never arrive at any other place? That is all right too because I have so many places to write about already and I am in bliss doing so. I fancy myself a seeker of the Holy Grail. It is a spiritual search and I am even sure of what. Maybe it is to learn how to die well? Maybe it is to learn how to live fully in the moment, ready for what comes next but without concern? Anyway:
My first example is:
Three day vacation in Grand Cayman:
April 29th is departure date, first to Denvers' airport for a few hours then to Newark Airport.
Then, after a 3 hour layover in Newark, a 3 hour flight to Grand Cayman. I am supposed to arrive into Grand Cayman at 1145 April 30th. The airport for the Cayman Islands is Owen Roberts International Airport. The airport code is GCM.
My report on this trip will be continued on my blog called "My Next Trip, Grand Cayman"
During this trip to Grand Cayman, I am putting E-Sim Sialy to the test. I have been searching for alternatives to Verizon Roaming charges ( $10 each day). Sialy e-sim is only $10 for one week. This is the claim as I understand it. It is only 1G though. well I will test this. If it is acceptable then I will include the app in my phones' travel app field. If it proves deficient, then I will delete the Sialy App and continue my search.
My experience with Sialy was not great. I was lucky to connect with 1G internet most of the time. I was always able to make calls, send text messages, and recieve both from the USA but the internet WiFi was quite deficient everywhere besides the hotel property. I already deleted Sialy app from my phone a few minutes ago. The app did work out in keeping me connected to Wi Fi in George Town and the other areas I visited but it was way too slow.
That said, I may give it another chance the next time I leave the country. After all, I did pay only $10 for one week while I was traveling around Grand Cayman. What I would do next time is pay for their 3G plan which is a little more expensive but it should be faster. Otherwise I may stay with Verizon Wireless and their $10 a day travel pass which is expensive but almost always quite fast. Of course, sim cards in the place you are traveling is another option. I may consider that option next time also. I am still old school but learning the ways of new technology, slowly but surely.
Of castles, kings and queens, palaces, museums, gardens, artists and art, hotels, travel, and the search for the Holy Grail. The art of flânerie and things that no longer exit. This is my website, my personal arm chair philosophy and travelers' trifles. It is my search for the Holy Grail; a spiritual search ; reaching the Gates Of Understanding.
Or should this be my search for Madhyamika, the art of living in the moment? Pursewarden, a character in "The Alexandria Quartet" by Lawrence Durrell, says; "The greatest thoughts are accessible to the least of men. Why do we have to struggle so? Because understanding is a function not of ratiocination but of the psyches' stage of growth. No amount of explanation can close the gap. Only realization" Any one of us could wake up after the most mundane evening and experience such realization. This would be our eureka moment. Lawrence Durrell also has Pursewarden say; "You may travel around the world and colonize the ends of the earth with your lines and yet never hear the singing yourself." So, what the heck? Should I give up my search for the Holy Grail and just live? Live in the moment, MADHYAMIKA.
I am no adeptuoso in the field of travel blogging and vlogging but I promise to do my best in bringing information, facts, and experiences for all who care to read my words and view my images.

Your reflections are nothing short of inspiring. The balance you strike between wanderlust and inner seeking — castles and Cathay, tech trials and transcendence — gives your blog the richness of both roadmap and journal. That line, “I am who I am no matter where I am,” rings with truth and serenity.
Thank you for showing that the Grail isn't always something we find — sometimes it's something we live. Looking forward to more of your "Guide Book For Life."

Thank you again for another great comment. I guess I am working towards some sort of legacy here. 😀😀 It is all about how I am experiencing life and the search for something immortal. If I am not immortal then maybe my EXPERIENCES can be. MAC.
MAC, that reflection is incredibly powerful—and speaks to something most creators quietly strive for. Immortality through experience and impact? That’s a legacy worth chasing. You’re already shaping it with every insight you share here at WA.
Your journey is a reminder that affiliate marketing can be more than clicks and conversions—it can carry meaning, memory, and a deeper imprint. Grateful to witness your path unfold.
