small steps, big dreams

Recently I decided to join this community, not only because I need the extra money, but also because I wanted to learn something new and in my eyes, internet still is the future!
Small steps
I am pretty happy with my current site about fantasy and sci-fi books. This is just a hobby of mine that I like to talk about. But as someone already mentioned before, it's not a niche where you can make the big money's. If you have any tips on how to increase the income you can gain from a site focussing on selling books, they are very welcome!
Big dreams
As the title already says, I have bigger dreams than just a website about books. During these past few weeks a lot of ideas and possibilities have crossed my mind, but there is only one 'niche' that I really want to succeed in: Positive news articles.
I like to be positive about everything, and sometimes I am in need of happy, funny, or exciting news to balance all the negativity mentioned on the big news platforms. I do however understand, that a website in news does not 'sell' anything. Therefore I am wondering what your opinion is about the possibilities of this turning into a successfull and profitable website. Just say what you're thinking and tips and feedbacks are always appreciated!

Hello Marianne, Sci-fi has a large following and can draw a large target audience, depending on your content. No the site itself may not sell a large quantity of books, but the affiliates I believe is where you can make the money.
