What should I blog about today? I am pretty sure that is a question that has been thought to ourselves many times when we come across writers block. The crazy part about it is that there are infinite things to write about, but our mind will draw a blank, so we sit there and think a while, jot something down and delete it, or give up and go do something else. Today I will introduce some simple ideas that will hopefully get the juices flowing and help break the wall of writers (blogger block)

Write about your niche

Quite simple, write about the thing that moved you enough to create content for. Search for new and innovative ideas to share with your audience. Is there anything that will case it to change or cause concern to your readers? You could also write about the negative part of your niche. For example, lets say my niche is guns. I am pretty sure that I will be writing about the positive things about owning a firearam. However, everyone knows that there is an ugly truth to owning a gun, so speak upon that. By doing so you have

• more content to write about
• shows that you are not one-sided, but understand your niche as a whole
• shows concern and gives you an opportunity to teach
• give you credibility as an expert

I used firearms as an example, however, this is applicable to all niches. There is nothing perfect about everything. For myself, my niche has a serious injury potential. I will be acknowledging that and educating my readers of this hazard. By doing so, I have just found another twenty percent of writing material to engage about.

Make a list of anything

One of the quickest and easiest blogs to write is a list. You can list anything you want and readers love lists. They are quick and make for easy blog creations. Lists create excellent white space and readability, and once you start writing a list, then ideas usually flows. Make a top ten list on anything:

• top ten reasons why you chose your niche
• top ten books in your niche
• top ten ways for a person to break into particular niche
• top ten challenges affecting your niche
• top ten experts in your field of choice
• etc

So as you can see, list are a bloggers best friend

Acknowledge your audience

Write to engage feedback and excitement through your readers. Make a contest, recognize excellent comments are a reader who comment the most, and encourage dialogue between you and your readers. The more you engage your audience, the more they will write back, which in turn will create ideas for you to write about in the future. This is one of the strongest moves you can make because you will focus in on the one person that means the most: your readers.

Whatever you do, WRITE

I written on the subject of writing before. Whatever you do, continue to write, even if its just jotting down ideas that don't make sense. Keep your mind churning and the ideas will flow. Just because you thought of something, that don't mean that you need to write about it at that moment. Set it aside and come back to it at another time. The most sure fire way to combat writer block is to have a bucket list of things already at your disposal. Therefore you can just pick a topic and go for it instead of trying to come up with something from scratch.

I hope this helped someone who may be stuck today, The reason this came up for me was because I was stuck. Not anymore.
