UPDATE - 5/16/19

Well, I ran into my first big learning curve today. As you read below you will see I jumped ahead of the process and purchased a domain from another site. I went back to the training and decided to do it right this time. But sometimes the choices we make can slow us down a bit. I made the attempt to transfer my domain to WA and was promptly notified it was not allowed for approximately 7 weeks! OUCH! That hurt!

I'm guessing it will somehow be a blessing in disguise but it wasn't what I had in mind as a newbie just starting out and excited to get my website up and running. So, to my fellow newbies, when the more experienced members of WA give the advice to follow the training....do just that - FOLLOW THE TRAINING.

One day I'm sure I will look back upon this moment and laugh. Just not today.

I did it again! I'm going to admit something here that I'm sure you have never experienced. Though it is a hard pill to swallow, I'm going to put on my big boy pants and say it out loud.

I MADE A MISTAKE! Can you believe it? I'm sure I am the only one who has experienced this so let me explain. Let me begin by saying, the mistake was not being a part of this great community!

I simply jumped ahead of myself again. I was so excited last week when I was watching some training, I jumped right in and purchased a domain name at another site. I'm regretting that decision now. Having just finished one of my level 2 lessons, it appears the site domain features offered here at WA are more inclusive AND less expensive. At the other site, every feature meant an additonal yearly fee which started adding up quickly. But in my excitement, I just jumped right in and made the purchase.

Now, is it such a bad thing that I now own a domain name that I wanted anyway. Absolutely not. Perhaps I should call it an error, rather than a mistake. But my point is to simply follow the lessons and don't get ahead of yourself.

So if you are a newbie (like me) just Stay On The Path and follow the guidelines that other successful people in this community have established. Now it is time for me to get back to work and start practicing what I preach.
