Quick Easy Free Favicons

One thing I find myself repeating is that their favicon is missing from sites, I enjoy favicons it makes my bookmarks list look great and I find it is becoming so standard on websites that it even can give a site a professional edge :)

I am lucky to have design software and experience to make mine, but I understand not everyone has this luxury, but I've come across a great site that allows you to upload images and generate a favicon in either ico or png file format FREE, here is is for those interested:

I hope this is helpful also for anyone looking for the head code to insert a favicon when not using a wordpress plugin here it is:

<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="http://example.com/favicon.png">

Remember this goes before the closing head tag </head>

• If you generate an ico file type remember to change the code to:

<link rel="icon" type="image/ico" href="http://example.com/favicon.ico">
