I made my first sale!
Today I am ecstatic!
I have made my first Amazon sale!
OK, I know that ~$2 may not sound like anything to get excited about, but to me, it signifies the opening of a door.
If I can make one $2 sale, I can make 100 or 1000.
How?
More content.
I only have 59 pages of content on one website.
After 14 months here at WA, that's a pretty poor effort. Especially given that the first 15 peices of content were awful. And that's being polite!
Unfortunately, this year, as I settle into a new, very demanding job, I'm not going to be able to build out as much new content as I'd like, but I still aim to get to 80 pages before the end of the year.
With hindsight, I KNOW I could have been where I am after just 9 months at WA, if I had just pushed a little harder when I had the time last year.
But that doesn't matter.
If you're new here or are yet to make a sale, take heart and be encouraged: if I can do this, ANYONE can.
Keep researching those underserved keywords and keep writing good quality content around them.
To our success!
Matt
P.S. I hope that this serves to demonstrate how valuable Wealthy Affiliate is. Even as new competitiors spring up, I have to say how much I appreciate this platform, the training and the positive community.

The first sale is something to celebrate. The amount doesn't matter. You keep doing what you're doing. It becomes exponential.
Good for you and push forward.

I genuinely admire your honesty and transparency in this post. I also appreciate that you saw the small gain as one of opportunity, and I know that you have the right attitude about opportunities. I think it is vital to remain optimistic in this business and learn what works for us, stick to it as in "rinse and repeat cycles" - and the ol' "if ain't broke, don't fix it." adage.
Honestly, I have a lot I need to learn regarding Clickbank, Amazon, and other affiliate marketing platforms. I have an exciting journey to embark upon and am thrilled to have found such a plethora of people to network with.
I look forward to learning from your journey, sharing ideas, networking with you and many others here at Wealthy Affiliate. Please feel free to stop by my profile and check out my articles, and give any constructive criticism, pointers, and suggestions at free will. I respect we are all busy, but the ideas help me stay focused and incite further generating ideas and brainstorming. So with that being said, I hope to hear more from you soon and wish you the best in your gainful pursuits.
