Be And Uplifter

We have heard the quote, "If you help people get what they want, you will also get what you want." Or something like that.

We should always be that person, helping others achieve, learning and doing and eventually, our desires will come into fruition.

So let me ask you a question when you converse with people, and they begin to go down a path of negativity, talking about people or gossiping, do you engage with them as well?

Hopefully not. As a people person or an uplifter, we would want to change the conversation from one of gossip and immediately turn the conversation to one of a positive nature.

Find some topic that is a happy point for them. Maybe it is there children or a pet. Perhaps it is hunting or fishing or sports. Or perhaps it is the volunteer work for the homeless or orphans.

Whatever it is that makes people happy, they will remember you. You will make them feel better.

So the question now is, when people leave a conversation with you, do they leave uplifted, or the same or worse--downtrodden?

There is a saying in the Boy Scouts as is to camping. It is when the camper leaves a campsite; they strive to leave it better than what it was initially.

Ought not we leave the people we talk with better than we began the conversation with them? Most certainly. Be an uplifter to everyone we communicate.

Not only will they be happy and remember you, but, think of what that does for you. Continue in happiness.
