I certainly agree with the second one, but a little confused by the first one. Do you mean that by seeking acceptance and approval, we are allowing others to "steal some of our light?" Can you clarify?

Fran, thank you for commenting. It was my attempt to say that people, especially people that often seek reassurance and approval from others is not good. Sometimes a person must go at it with lots of self-confidence. And if self-confidence is lacking find out how to get it. If a person always seeks reassurance from others, the seeker will not blossom.
