I am trying to get this happening and I need to verify my ownership by copying the text into the DNS configuration for my website. Can someone tell me where I can d
To verify, you can use the Ad Inserter plugin, as you do not want to edit your theme files directly, as you will lose your changes when the theme updates or if you change your theme. How To Use The Ad Inserter Plugin Or else reach out to site support as suggested.
Help tab top menu then site support.

I'm not a tech person there may be others who have more knowledge to help you. But I think it depends on where your domain is hosted.
Mine is hosted on a 3rd party platform and pointed to WA so I would have to go to my host and add a TXT file with the Google Console code.
If your domain was obtained through WA then support may be your best option.

Thank you for all the replies - its been a long week at work so I have just got back here. I watched Jay's video and it worked! There was a moment of panic at the end 'cos it doesn't tell you to right click instead of left click - go figure :) But all is good now.
I am using Generate Press so no issues with my site.
