Back from vacation. My website kept working while I was off !

Hi All my WA friends,

I'm back from 6 days vacation with my family in Barcelona. It was a good experience exploring the city with kids - Gaudi buildings, parks, Aquarium, markets and more.

I took a leave from the screen time as well, most of the time, and only read emails when on our Airbnb Wi-Fi. The only thing I kept doing was greeting my new referrals and replying to their goals and messages.

Even though my traffic dropped now to about 400 page views (after a spike to 14k), there were still new referrals and several upgrades, including one yearly member.

I'm happy to greet my new Premium referrals and wishing them great success here!

It's tough to be back from vacation, especially when your AC is dead in the midst of summer boiling hot weather.

A funny story to share:

When you reserve a prepaid transportation to the airport and wait outside for your minivan to arrive, don't be too eager to show it and stand on the road. And when a taxi stops near you, don't forget to confirm that it's really your prepaid ride.

We jumped in the taxi, were taken to the airport and suddenly asked to pay for the ride.

- What?! But we have already paid!

- Not to me...

Oops... Paying twice is not nice :-)

Well, lesson learned..

The story continues like this:

We flew home, kids watched TV for the whole 7 hours flight. We arrived in New York, stood in endless lines in the airport and at the end discovered that our suitcase is not on the carousel. Norwegian airlines' rep was nowhere to be found, my kids fell asleep on the carpet near the carousel, so we had to get out of customs. Spent more time trying to file a claim. Left a handwritten note with some boarding agent and went home.

Next day, after many chats and calls, we found out that the suitcase never left Barcelona (wanted longer vacation, I guess?? ). Airlines promised to deliver it after 2 days. Hope to get it back, as all the cheese from the La Boqueria market is there!

OK, now I'm back, trying to catch up and clean 1500 emails that waited for me in my office inbox.
