Are you a business person or an entrpreneur?

I have been asking myself that very question ever since I joined up with the WA program. It is important to me and my niche to find out which one I am.

In my research, I found that a business person and an entrepreneur have very similar qualities, except for two BIG differences: MINDSET and HOW THEY VIEW SUCCESS.

. MINDSET :

The business person's main focus is on their business(es). They MONETIZE everything : their time ( Ever heard of the old adage :"Time is money"?..... a business person "coined" that phase), their employees, their customers, and even their stockholders (if they have them).. Now don't get me wrong, smart business people know how to keep their employees and customers HAPPY. Hence the sayings : " A happy employee is a productive employee" and " a happy customer is a returning customer". A business person can create a business out of an originally service or product, but mostly, a business person creates a business out of someone else's service or product. A business person is not to creative because they feel they don't have the TIME to be creative.

The entrepreneur's main focus is on helping people, their communities and even the world. The entrepreneur is very creative, like an artist, and create something out of nothing. The entrepreneur concerns themselves less with revenue than the business person. The entrepreneur's thinking is, if they can create a superior product or service that helps their fellow man, communities,etc....... The revenue will come in time.

SUCCESS :

The business person views how successful they are by how successful their business(es) are. The more successful the business(es), the more successful business person.

The entrepreneur views their success on bow much of an impact they made on helping their fellow man, their communities, etc.

Lest not us forget, that the business person and entrepreneur are personality "traits" that we all have !!!!

One more thing, I have found in doing my research.... that it is possible to have what I like to call a "hybred" type of personality...... half the business person and half the entrepreneur.

All I have to do is figure out what type of personality trait I have............. I'm still working on it ! LOL !

So I ask you : Are you a business person, entrepreneur or both?
