My Progress With WA So Far
I joined Wealthy Affiliate last month, on July 6. Progress has been slower than I would have liked, but I think what I've done so far is pretty good. I was looking for a long time for something I could do to operate my own business from my home and have it mobile at the same time, so that I could work on it from any location in the world.
I found WA after checking out another online business program in April. That other one seemed too difficult to accomplish anything with and very scammy. I already had some education a few years ago with online business and building your own website, but with that I was completely on my own. There wasn't a group of people to provide any kind of support.
I saw the value in WA and went to Premium immediately.
What I like about WA is that I am on my own to create my website and build a business and there is a group of other people to reach out to and that will help in even the smallest way.
I also like the content on the Wealthy Affiliate website with the tutorials by Kyle. It is the best I have seen anywhere of its kind.
I was already familiar with the idea of building a website around something that interests me to find a niche market. I decided on tournament poker playing because I play poker in a poker league and in professional tournaments. It's a big interest of mine, so it was an easy choice to focus on to find a niche.
My first choice for a website name was tournamentpokerplayer but after some research, I found out that someone else owned that domain name.
So I changed it to tournamentpokerskills.com. That was the one. So I followed Kyle's instructions on how to set up the domain name, my website is Tournament Poker Skills.
The new website name seems to make more sense, and I think it narrowed down the niche a little bit better. Making it easier to create content because of a better focus.
I am still working on content and content ideas and have to fill the site in with more content.
The content part is easy because there's a lot of content I can create within my website's focus. My only problem that I have to contend with is writer's block much of the time. I have always liked to write and I have always had to plod my way through it to get it done usually slower than I would have liked.
Now what I am moving on to is monetizing it!
WA offers great value and the courses and classrooms are easy to follow. Thank you Kyle and Carson!

Looking good so far Mart, loving the red, black and white theme, goes well with playing card colours. My only suggestion would be to add some images ... my apologies if I am jumping the gun and you just haven't got to that stage of the course yet.
